 Here at Discover Point we value our children's program. We have put together a safe and fun environment for all ages. Discover Kids is completely designed with kids in mind. While at Discover Kids the children can take a road trip in our giant city filled with all sorts of cool things to explore. It is our desire that every child's visit to Discover Kids City is a happy one, where they learn Biblical truths in a relevant, and fun way. Parent will be able to attend the worship service knowing that their children are cared for and loved. More importantly each teacher is trained to help your child come to or grow in a relationship with Jesus.
Discover Kids opens at 8:00 AM every Sunday. Program begins at 8:15, 9:30 and 11 am. Scooters: Newborn-2 Years The depot is a perfect place to drop off your little ones. We have a safe well contained area where they can explore God ís world around them. The depot has tons of toys and games for babies and tots to enjoy. Trolleys: Ages 3-5 Years The other half of our depot is where you will find our active toddlers and kindergarteners playing and learning. They will take a journey into God's story each week and learn about who He is and how much He loves them.  City Slickers: Grades 1st -3rd
Further into the city you will find the City Slickers learning about Jesus and growing closer to Him through small group activities that will reinforce the days lesson and help them apply the Biblical truths to their lives. They will also build a strong foundation of faith through children's church, crafts, and games. Skyscrapers: Grades 4th -5th At the highest point in Discover Kids city we have our Skyscrapers. They will grow closer to Jesus through small group activities that will reinforce the days lesson and help them learn how to live a life as a Christ follower. They will also build a strong foundation of faith through childrenís church, crafts, and games. The City Slickers and Skyscrapers will encounter the ultimate worship experience when they enter the ìHolywood Theaterî for Childrenís Church. They will worship with high energy music, and learn about the Word through stories, skits, and videos. During small group time they will implement specific virtues through a comprehensive approach to exhibiting the character of Christ. 252 Basics draws from the model of Jesus expressed in the Gospel of Luke. Luke 2:52 says, "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man." The kind of growth modeled by Jesus happens by intention, not by accident. So children learn wisdom ("I need to make the wise choice."), faith ("I can trust God no matter what.") and friendship ("I should treat others the way I want to be treated.")  Sundays in Discover Kids City will be an experience your children won't soon forget!! They will be eager to come back every week!
Discover Kids Check-in/Check-out Procedure: When you and your child arrive at Discover Kids City for the first visit you will be asked to fill out an information card. You can download and fill the card out before you come by clicking here. Once we have entered your childís information into our computer you and your child will receive a label for security and identification purposes. The printed label will have your child's name, allergies, and an ID number on it. A computerized paging system will notify you on the screens in the worship center (using the ID number on your label) if your child needs your attention during the service. When the worship service is over please report back to Discover Kids City for pick up. You will be asked to show your printed label in order to pick your child up. Please note that we do a background check on every Discover Kids Worker to ensure your child's safety. One parent per child is allowed to stay if they wish. Tours of the kids area is provided upon request each Sunday by the Discover Kids Coordinator. Please gives us 48 hours notice for tours. |
