In Matthew 28:18-19, Jesus said; "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you."
A disciple is someone who is "fully devoted" to Him.
This is the reason that we exist as a church. This is our "why."
This is our heartbeat, to fulfill His mission for His name and glory.
To learn more about this mission, watch the message:
"Re-establishing An Old Mission."

If our "why" as a church is to make disciples of Jesus,
then "how" we accomplish that mission is through our Discipleship Pathway.

In order to follow Jesus, we must first understand the gospel which " literally means, "good news." It's the good news that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again from the dead.  The Apostle Paul gives us a clear picture of what the gospel is in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 , which says;  Now I want to make clear for you, brothers and sisters, the gospel I preached to you, which you received, on which you have taken your stand  and by which you are being saved, if you hold to the message I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.  For I passed on to you as most important what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, (CSB)

Following Jesus, is lifelong journey of now growing in our relationship with Christ so that we can simply know Him better and reflect Him more in our lives. 2 Peter 3:18, says;  "...grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ..." (CSB) As a church, our commitment is to help you grow in your faith by teaching through Gods Word every Sunday, offering various Discipleship Classes throughout the year, and also through our Connect Groups.

Christianity was never meant to be an isolated experience. We need community with other Christians. The book of Acts 2:42, 46 describes the early church as being devoted to fellowship:  “All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. ...They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity.” Here at DiscoverPoint we connect tother with other believers in Connect Groups. These smaller groups are designed to help you build relationships and learn God’s word together.

Ephesians 2:10 says that we were, “created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.” In other words, Jesus has called us to do “good works” that will impact other people with the gospel. Here at DiscoverPoint we impact others through  serving opportunities on Team DP,  Impact Days.  giving, and making disciples.
